He was also researcher at Ames National Laboratory, USA, as well as visiting professor at Universit\u00e9 Paris-Sud (Orsay), France, Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (Halle), Germany, and Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Sassari, Italy. He has experience in condensed matter physics, working mainly on nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and its applications, especially in porous media &#8211; oil science, magnetic materials, polymers, and quantum information. He also works in the field of NMR instrumentation, performing research, development and technological innovation in collaboration with several companies in Brazil and abroad. He is member of the Latin American and S\u00e3o Paulo State Academies of Sciences.
